As the hospitality sales manager of a company you are there to set an example to lead and inspire your team, and achieve goals on and off the pitch. How do you go about your daily routine?

The secretary spoke to Justine Kebby, hospitality sales manager about her working day.

Q. What time do you normally wake up?
A. I usually wake at 7am.

Q. What do time does your working day start?
A. I tend to check emails first thing and aim to be in the office for around 9am depending on client meetings.

Q. What is the first thing you do at the start of your working day ?
A. Well first things first…. It has to be a cup of tea! And then I like to make myself a little ‘to do list’ to prioritise my day and prep for any meetings I have.

Q. How do you prioritise your days work?
A. Usually in order of urgency although in hospitality this can quickly change so I always need to be prepared to adapt my priorities throughout the day

Q. What do you do to motivate your team every day ?
A. I’m very lucky to have such a great team they don’t need all that much motivation. I do find a thank you goes a long way and if you respect your team they will respect you.

Q. What time does your working day normally finish?
A. I try to make sure I am out of the office or on my way home before 6, work life balance is very important to me.

Q. What is your favourite piece of working technology that you use for work?
A. I’m not all that techy so a phone and a laptop is about as exciting as it gets for me.

Q. What is the best piece of advice someone has given you to help with work?
A. An old boss many years ago said to me ‘I’d never expect my team to do anything I wasn’t prepared to do myself’ which has stuck with me and has been a really important moto.

Q. Where is your favourite restaurant?
A. I’m a real foodie so this is a hard one for me but the best restaurant I have ever been to was Lasarte in Barcelona. If we are talking local then anywhere that does a really good Sunday roast.

Q. What is your favourite football team?
A. Bristol City of course.

Q. How do you switch off?
A. I find a nice glass of red usually does the trick or a good box set.

Q. Where is your favourite holiday destination?
A. I’ve recently come back from Mexico which absolutely beautiful.

Q. What do you most enjoy about working for Ashton Gate stadium ?
A. I love the people, we have a great team here and no day is ever the same. It’s a really exciting place to be and somewhere I am really proud to say I work.
