We The Curious offers refurbished venue spaces and stunning views of Bristol

Where else can you take a trip around the solar system before dinner? Or sip some fizz over a giant game of chess?  Bristol’s science centre, We The Curious, reopened this summer with a fully refurbished venue hire suite, offering a unique corporate event space that embodies the city’s sense of fun and passion for discovery and innovation.

After a fire on the roof in 2022, the centre had been closed to the public until this July, when it reopened its doors to a sell-out summer. As well as welcoming families back to the exhibition floors, the team have hosted numerous events and conferences in their second-floor event spaces this autumn, including directors’ forums, business festivals and corporate parties.

A curiously unique venue…
The 3D Planetarium, over 200 interactive exhibits and the intriguing Project What If exhibition provide inspiration and a chance to play and relax. With the option to privately hire these, why not kick your conference off with curiosity and allow your guests to explore the wonders of the known universe?

Upstairs, the versatile spaces are ideal for meetings, training and networking events, award ceremonies and dinners for up to 300 people. The Rosalind Franklin Room occupies the top floor and offers private terraces with stunning views over Millennium Square, the Harbourside and the Bristol Cathedral. The adjoining annexe rooms enhance the space and can be used as additional syndicate rooms, or as a delightful catering or bar area leading to the South terrace. The annexe can be hired as one room or split into three separate rooms if you are looking for smaller conference spaces.

The venue is a stone’s throw from the bustle and beauty of the harbourside in central Bristol.  It’s well connected to public transport and has an underground car park (with electric charging points).  The city centre location is easy to get to by bike, train, bus or car.

Delicious, sustainable food
Championing sustainable practices and support for local businesses, We The Curious have appointed four locally based event caterers to provide their reopening Venue Hire catering offer. We The Curious are passionate about sustainability and are working to reduce carbon across all parts of their operation and as part of this, all of the caterers offer a climate conscious menu. This includes a higher proportion of plant-based options, and ensuring only organic and free-range meat and fish is used. You can order everything from afternoon tea to noodle bars, and delicious canapes.

As well as offering a unique space for all your conference and meeting needs, We The Curious also caters for dinners and large parties. For Christmas, add some sparkle with a tour of the winter night sky in the Planetarium. In summer, guests can watch the sun go down with drinks served on the beautiful roof-top terrace.
